Glass & Glazing

Cost influences for lower cost projects...

The selection of glass type is often determined by the panel size and placement in order to meet building code requirements. In some situations the architectural design determines this selection. For example:

  • Transom heights can determine the need for safety glass in some units where it would otherwise not be required.
  • Larger units can result in site glazing, adding additional cost.
  • The use of colonial bars in double glazing adds significantly to the cost.

Your local Bradnam's branch or NALCO Technical Support can assist you with advice on legislative and design requirements.
