Surface Finishing

Aluminium has inherently good corrosion resistance and requires less protection than most metals. When corrosion does occur, it generally causes only discolouration and mild oxidation, which affects the visual appearance of the product. Highly corrosive environments, however, may cause corrosion that could result in performance problems.

Two commonly used architectural surface finishes for aluminium are powder coating and anodising.
